Is anyone from the Poole/Bournemouth area going?
As last time it was a very long day riding up and back again.
I've been given an over night pass so i can go camping
I will be going up early Saturday morning, staying over and coming home some time Sunday
Below is the email i got from them.
September 2008 saw motorcyclists come from all over the UK to celebrate motorcycle overland touring at Touratech’s new base at Ystradgynlais in South Wales. Approximately 500 motorcycles and over 1000 people attended at Touratech’s new UK HQ and showroom, which is situated in what is fast becoming the adventure motorcycling capital of the UK. Over 200 of these visitors made best use of the change of weather and camped for the weekend.
With several talks - headlined by a hosted chat show with Charley Boorman on the Saturday night, on and off road rideouts, motorcross displays and more the weekend left many asking when the next one would be. Well the date has been set. The weekend of 27th-29th March will see the Touratech Travel Event 2009 take place.
The event will follow a similar format to last year with the addition of a Friday night talk/chat show. Camping will be open from 5pm on the Friday evening until the close of the event at 4pm on Sunday afternoon. Food and drink will be available from the onsite catering from 6pm on the Friday with the first talk/chat show of the weekend starting up at 7pm.
So that we have an idea of numbers, and can plan our facilities to match, registration is required for this years event. There is a registration fee, which is only £5 per person (free for under 16’s) for the whole weekend, this registration fee will allow you access to the talks, ride-outs and other entertainment as well as use of our camping areas for the duration of the event.
(log on to the Touratech website to book your space)
As mentioned above free camping is available for the whole weekend. This is on-site and as such is basic.
