Hey all,
Hope I don't live to regret this (by the kit never turning up), but after a few less than flattering experiences with Touratech in the past (had to cancel an order because of delays and a friend of mine waited over 3 months for paid-for kit to arrive), I have to admit credit where credit is due Touratech UK may have the solution to a problem!
I use my GSA for a longish commute (75miles each way), so 150miles a day with a backpack has left the shoulders screening for a top-box. I don't want a 'pizza' style tall box, as helmet storage isn't important, so settled my mind on the Zega Pro 22L low profile top box.....only one issue, Touratech haven't designed a mounting bracket for it for the new GSA. They do one for the regular GS, but it won't fit the GSA. After several emails to Touratech UK and Touratech Germany I finally find out its in the product development line, but no idea when it will be available!
So, I was surprised and relieved to get a call from Julie at Touratech UK, who advised me that they have created their own brackets to adapt the existing GS rack to fit the GSA, as they can't wait for Touratech Germany to keep pushing timings back! As I understand it, this is not a Touratech backed venture, just Touratech UK trying to meet customer demand! I was pretty impressed with this and placed and order for the Top Box with rack and fitting brackets! Now just waiting on the TopBox to be built in Germany and shipped over......could be a bit of a wait, but they let me know that ahead of placing the order and have a set of brackets put aside for when it arrives (they'll take money off me when it is int he UK, so I am not out of pocket while waiting).
Top marks to Touratech UK for creating a solution, they get a lot of bad press so figured 'credit' was due too.....I'll post pics when they get the kit to me, which should be a few weeks, fingers crossed.
