Touratech, why?

Over the last two years I have ordered a load of stuff for my bikes, Africa Twin, 1150 and 1150 ADV.
At first it used to wind me up because of the slow delivery times. Now when I order I expect it to take two weeks
I have used Nippy Normans for TT stuff as he holds some of the most popular items in stock and its always next day delivery
I don't think there is any direct comparison as other companies that do toys to add on are also very expensive... ie boxer design and the likes.
The resale value on this site or ebay is staggering. On the most popular items you can see them nearly reaching the new price.
Once I ordered an oil carrier and ally rack to mount to the panniers and it turned up within 48hrs
It took me so long to get over the shock that i didn't fit it for two weeks 
The most recent items ordered were some luggage straps and that took the usual 12 days from order to delivery.
On the hole it is well made and thought out kit. When you look at the design of some of the GPS holders
anyway.... thats my two penneth.

I love the TT stuff but their service leaves me cold. I have today however found out that the lovely Mrs Flip will have he Transalp crash bars in March 
We've had them on order since October

I'm sure they are a victim of their own success. They supply all round the globe and the recent demand for tough off road style bikes has increased significantly.
If I could buy the stuff elsewhere I would.

But if you mail Germany they have the stuff in stock but will not supply you, as you have to deal with there UK dealer

Shouldn't the EU have something to say about that - along the lines of the multi-million Euro fine handed out to VW when they tried to stop Austrians buying in Italy where the cars were cheaper, IIRC

But if you've got a mate in Germany you're laughing.But if you mail Germany they have the stuff in stock but will not supply you, as you have to deal with there UK dealer

Nah, as long as they make it clear on the wensite that you can only order in your home country, and they have an agent in your country, then they can refuse to ship. I've checked the website in Germany and they expressly say no to shipping to countries with agents.
So we are stuffed.

But i have made 2 orders with T-Tech and they both came within a week of ordering, same with Nippys
Now GPS W/house was another thing, 1st order waited 2 weeks then rang em, “Parts just come in today sir you should have them in a few days” and I did.
Same thing with 2nd order “Just come in blah blah…..” then it turned up 2 days later !!

My mate who lives in Germany is moving back to Ireland this year.
Hmm, where do Belfast shoppers get their TT kit from? UK or Germany?

Yes they are a bit pricey but the stuff is good. When I wanted panniers I spent ages looking around and whlist it's true there may be better quality kit around, for the price TT could'nt be beaten. Fits well too.

My mouth has to be this big so that both feet can fit in
