Touratech

Hello to all,

please let me introduce myself first.
I´am Herbert from Touratech in germany.

It makes me really pain to read all the statements in this thread.
I had not really an idea whow many problems there are in the UK.

Nick and Niel are really very nice guyes and they are doing a great job for us.
They like their job and they like driving motorcycles.
They know what they are talking about.
They are not only salesmen who want to make a lot of money out of a business. They like everything that is arount TT.
Sorry to hear that we have a lot of problems.

We have developed a huge number of new products, specially for the R12GS and we tried hard to have produced enough.
But we failed. We had not really an idea that there is such a big interest in the new parts.

We are only a little manufacturer of 65 people and we are working hard to get everything ready but sometimes it is not possible.

...and in germany it is not always easy to get new employees when you need them.

But we are working on the situation and we are sure to get better every day.

Please have a little patience with Nick, Niel and the rest of the worldwide Touratech-family.

We are asking you to have a little more comprehension and we will help them to get better.

Please not also that we have more than 3000 products in our catalogue, most of them are produced in europe from us am we always have about 96% of all these products in stock.

Have a nice weekend and best regards from the black forest in germany

Herbert,

Thank you for some input from TT.
My problem is not that the goods take a long time to arrive but that there is no information about how long they will take.
For example I ordered some parts online three weeks ago and received an e mail confirming the order, since then nothing. I sent an e mail last week asking when the order was likely to be delivered but have had no reply. All I want to know is when the order is coming, it doesn't matter if it is going to be many weeks but I just want to know.

Clive

Thats really nice herbert..........

how about selling direct to GS club members and sponsoring our site ???

we all want to be part of your family and will do a better job !!!!

if i take orders in advance and drive over once a month perhaps???

good to see your presence here though welcome!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I agree with Clive and Ming

I have had goods on order for over two weeks and I had not heard anything from TTuk.

If i was informed about matters it would be much better.

Herbert,

I think it's a credit to TT that you actually respond via forum like this one. It's forward thinking from you, and I think most of us appreciate it.

Ricky Kuhn speaks highly of you, and that makes you all right in my book.

I'd say that no business is perfect, and adjustments and dealing with customer issues properly is what makes a company great !

I think we all know and respect Nick, and would love to see him suceed. Any help you can provide him should result in more sales to TT.

From my point of view, living in France, I've never had problem with TT France. I've currently got an order in, and things are in process in an orderly fashion.

If there are delays, then I'm notified in a proper fashion.

I hope the problems get sorted out.... I think most of us GSers would have a problem if TT didn't !

Hi Guys
We in sweden go for the international site insted. The have
a nice customer service dept. and mail you if they are out of stock
with something you have tried to order. I have used them more then one and they are to be trusted.

Jax, I agree. It took some time to get my R12 parts but I got replies to my emails regarding delivery etc etc. Excellent service, again international site though.

Well, that it not the feedback I have from at least 3 people in France. They tend to lose orders, forget about things or appointments. It is not a first account story as all this did not happen to me. But it happened to people I know. I guess they were not lucky.

I never ordered anything from Touratech France because of that. If I do need something that I cannot find elsewhere, I will try the Suede office...

But I have also another issue with Touratech parts. Why do they have to print in big their brand name on all their parts ? ... A very "Givish" attitude, and that's why I never buy anything from them either. I ride a BMW, not a Touratech or a Givi bike.

Well, guess it might be luck, but I've ordered 3 times something from TT, and once I got a call saying that things were delayed. The rest, everything was delivered on time. The thing I've ordered now should be delivered within next week....

Now if we want to complain, let's talk about the mounting instructions... that's a whole different ball game!! Specially for two left handed people like me.

Touratech GB - having read all the post recently regarding this i was wondering whether i had made the right decision to buy some bits and pieces from them...

Order placed 14 October

Rang yesterday 15 November - "parts were despatched Friday, no, they are still here, will be posted tonight with you tomorrow"
i.e. today..

Arrived today :D

Took a month to get here so should they hold more stock ? who knows?

Call it as you see it - so yes i will order again !!

Uh Oh!

Just ordered some stuff last week.

Hope it turns up sooner rather than later as it's stuff that is practical as opposed to pretty.

Already fallen off twice in deep mud/clay (no damage whatsoever!) and need to protect some vulnerable parts.

If the boyos are seeing all this, give us a response.

Skippy (Martin)
