Seen a couple on fleabay right now, price looking okay

Havent actually ridden my SMT yet but wondered if this modification is a good one?

I changed to this type of screen on my Adventure and found it much better

Anybody using this on the SMT?

Cheers

I use a givi seem's ok
I prefer the look of it as it follows the lines of nose cone better
I think people putting massive screens on a SMT is kind of missing the point of the bike
Loving the smt ;)

Think you might be right - as I havent ridden it (properly) yet, am not rushing to make these kind of changes, just wanted to hear if anybody has any experience with afer market screens and if they are necessary

First impressions - what a motor!! Also feels like a pocket bike after my GSA - really notice it when it moving it about in the garage etc

Not too sure about front wheel feedback - felt funny when steering - not sure if tyre pressure issue or some other issue - was a strange feeling. I know you cant compare against BMW telever, and I am not expecting that, but it felt strange and very unnerving - as if it was rolling like an egg??

Thoughts on that???

There is loads of adjustment on the suspension loads to cock up, go back to standard and start from there !
Mine was set on sport and handled like a pig on the B roads I ride, far too hard, slow to steer, they are quite sensitive to tyre pressure as well last ride I went on thought it handled a bit sloppy only had 15 psi in rear tyre :eek
My tyres are shagged so new set for the spring but I think standard is ok for me solo just a click more rebound.

Havent got far enough to check all settings but didnt like how it is - am sure i will find a way though

Great sound, great motor - bit of a diva compared to the gsa - not as easy to ride but hope the grinning starts soon!!

I don't think anything is as effortless to ride as a GS hence their appeal, id love to be able to afford both :blast
but the KTM can just give you that sporting edge as well as some comfort, but don't try to make it like a GSA coz its not, its a supermoto
just with a T ;) I'd have loved an SMR as they just look so cool, but with only one bike i need the slightly mote sensible edge the T has :rob

Am not expecting it to be a gsa - otherwise wouldnt have sold the gsa!!! Shows you how good (or easy) the gsa is though!

Loving the cutting edge of the smt, just need to get to grips with it..... Service this week, is overdue, then hope the fun begins!!

I didn't think you would, I just see loads of posts complaining about buffeting, wind noise etc :blagblah then people add things like the calsci screen have you seen that thing it's hideous :barf which I think they have missed the point of the bike.
IMO the SM range are like upright sports bikes :D
You will love it, trust me the fun will begin !

I've had a blast on my G/F's SMT and I bloody love the thing. Highly addictive that's for sure.

Just got to sort the screen on it as she's bringing it on a 4500 mile trip to the US in the summer.
