I already have a small Wolfman Enduro Tankbag, but wanted something a bit larger for longer trips and one that specifically had an A4 Mapcase

Only thing that seemed to fit the bill was a TT one

They make 2 for the G650X series, one for the XCountry and the other for the XChallenge

Both the same bags, just with a different rear fixing arrangment - velcro or 2 straps for the XChallenge

One came up last week for a XCountry on Ebay and managed to get it for £40 (TT new price is £140:eek:) and it was as new

So all good, but wouldn't be able to use the XCountry rear fixing of Velcro

So made some straps, from 20 mm black webbing, couple of plastic dog lead clips and 2 Male and Female Belt buckles each side, which is very similar to the Wolfman fixing system anyway

All the webbing and clips are available on ebay for less than a fiver and got the local cobbler to stitch them up as needed

Fitted it altogether this afternoon and all works spot:thumb

Pleased with it and a step closer to going away on it at Easter

Eee by gum JB that tank bag should just about hold the beer tokens :JB

:beerjug:

Spooky- my next question was along the lines of changing the seat!

Are there many trails left open in the Alps?

French and Italian Alps I guess have more, from some info researched

Tony Archer has the seat and it will be ready next week, hopefully it will be better:rolleyes:

JB: we are only going away for 3 days at Easter, how much gear are you planning to take? Will you have any room spare for some of mine and Mr Smooths.

All you see on the bike today, is my luggage compliment, so it'll have to fit in there

Panniers are for the Alps trip:D

John, having seen the picture of your bike with the TT tank bag, I've just been into the garage to try my Wunderlich tank bag and that will fit in a similar way to yours.
Nice one
:beerjug:
p.s
Got a 1200WC in the garage on demo at the moment...... nice bike.

He's had mine 3 weeks already  Guess you went for 'in stock' materials :nenau did you post or drop it personally?

Dropped it in:D

Rang him today, he's still waiting for your material

I've chosen suede top and vinyl sides, in black;)

I told him not to mix up the bases:D

He's doing mine later in the week
