What fun I am having with this. My support bracket is bent. It is also obsolete. All the support brackets available are for the 650 which has a different (wider), fairing. Having bought one and the support brackets I find it is two inches too wide.

Suggestions? Local blacksmith try’s to straighten old bracket. Not keen to work with Ali. Buy an aftermarket tall screen? They appear to only require the lower mounts, which must mean much wobbles? Or why would bmw design a tall support bracket?

Any thoughts appreciated

My thought atm is that my local blacksmith is a genius

I have a taller screen - not sure of the make - which has no support and does not shake / bend etc. However, when I attach a ‘lip’ to the top of the screen the extra weight and resistance will generate some shake in certain circumstances. My handlebars do touch the screen when on full lock but not enough to concern me.

I have a WRS screen from Italy. It’s like the BMW touring screen but is taller and wider, and is clearly better made as it doesn’t need the extra support bracket. Plus it was about a third of the price.
