For most people is just a financial transaction. With insurance involved, we are basically just subsidising the scrotes' work, in a way.
Different is the case when you really want that vehicle back.
Funny note: with all these trackers in place, it would be fun to see what happens when bods do "lose" possession of the vehicles (after being refunded by insurance) as you'd be tracking someone else's property at that stage and all privacy concern involved.
Of course, common sense dictates that nothing happens (and most probably will be like that). But with fastidious regulation and insurances and lawyers at work... nothing surprises me anymore...
