Hello Folks.
I can lead a trail ride in the Dolgellau area on Saturday 20th January.
This ride will be crossing some large boggy moors where the risk of getting stuck is high!
The ride will consist of approx 100 mile loop, with fuel available after 40 miles, the lanes will be stone/rock, mud and lots of water.
Packed lunch should be carried.
We will be meeting at the 'Long Stay' car park near Dolgellau town centre and the rugby fields at 0900hrs and we will depart at 0930hrs prompt.
The link below illustrates the RV point.
If you are interested please reply to this thread so I can get an idea of numbers.
Regards.
Timpo.
PS. This is not an enduro, so no racing numbers will be required!:nono

If anyone going has space on their trailer or in their van I would be very interested. I could ride to a meeting point on your route.
An outside chance I know but then I do live in Hope:)

Let's see what develops....

Hew, leave it with me, as I have a lad in Deeside who wants to come along. I think he has a van/trailer with space in/on. Do you have a car with a towbar on? Just thinking on my feet....
Timpo.

I buggered the clutch on my DR on saturday, but was able to use it all day Sun, and Tina used it all day today.

I won't risk it on the 'Motorway' as it is but am trying to get a new one before Saturday.:thumb

No I haven't got a towbar.
It's something that I am going to have to sort out in the next few months.
Like I said I would love to come but I'm not sure how I would cope with the ride back from Dolgellau after one of your rides.
Thanks

will see you around ther Timbo

because we are out ther this weekend also.. good luck with the bog, i've got something else on the agenda:D :thumb

Hew, I got you a lift in a van from Mold/Ewloe area.
Sort a tow car/trailer out in a few weeks nevermind a few months you muppet! We got some trails to ride so don't hang around.
I'll be in touch at the end of the week to confirm the RV.
Timpo.

Cheers Timpo.
I'm looking forward to it.
I hope the weather improves.:thumb

What you up to?
Is it secret or can you let me know?

Weather's looking sh!te

Oh dear, the weather is closing in for tomorrow!
Bad that!
I've had a few lightweights call and drop out.......sad!
Less bikes for me to ride over the difficult sections....right Timmy?
Anybody else fancy an dirty one?
Timpo.

I've just finished putting in a new clutch, rear wheel bearings and brake pads after the last 'assault' course and still unsure about tomorrow.

It's the 'motorway' that i don't fancy on my heavy DR:o did it a few years ago on a light bike and swore never again:D .

I'll ring you as soon as I know for sure.:thumb

Thanks Tim that's put my mind at ease, I thought the "strong possibility of getting stuck" was just a joke:D

Ouch.

Now I'm sure some of you will be pleased to hear that I struggled today on this ride! I couldn't stay on the fecking thing and in total I parted company four times.
I'm sure it would of been more times but the ride was cut short by Andy's DRZ holing it's left hand radiator, where? On The Motorway!!
The bogs were a nightmare. Very taxing on the energy reserves.
Up 'til then we had rode over Pont Scethin, around Barmouth Headland, down the Panorama without any issues.
So the ride had about an hour and a half shaved off it, and in a way it was a blessing in disguise.
Saw a few other groups out, which is rare for this part of Wales and the weather made the views look fantastic, blue sky and sun.:thumb2
I need to start planning another ride out real soon as the lambing season will be upon us and I try to keep of the lanes for four or five weeks.

Timpo.

Oh Yes!

The weather held and although there was wind it was nice and bright. There really were some fantastic views and lanes.
As usual Timpo did not disappoint and as promised I got stuck and stuck again and again.Fluck me that was hard. I am now convinced that I must leave the pies alone and train harder. Somehow I did not get any photos of this section.:augie
I am crap at taking photos but include one to try and show the type of view that was around all day.
Thanks Andy for helping me lift my bike out and thanks Timpo for another great day on the lanes.:beerjug:

PS Bakerman is right you are evil:D
