Trail ride. Llangollen area. Saturday 13th January.

Easy peasy!!

Ever ridden a lane called Bwlch y Groes? From Penmachno to Dolwyddelan over the top? Full of bogs, one of the hardest lanes I have ever ridden, much more difficult than the motorway.

Joking, The Motorway is much harder, B-Y-G is simple when you know where to cross the quagmires. A few of the UCRs in that area have been graded so very easy now, hoopefully a few heavy winters will return them to their former glory. T.

The last time I rode the motorway (6 years ago) it seemed fairly straight forward compared to B-Y-G, maybe it has changed. :nenau

i done it this October , great lane in the woods( going east to west) then a few rocks to get up which was testing:o .. then yes lots of bogs which was easy for me ,been at the front because looks like the lane had not been done all summer and the bogs were firm for ME ...but the last few riders found them a little harder because they had been turn up a little..
i'll be going back again there soon..:)

Names, bikes and numbers....

OK, I have just been reminded of the great fun we had on Wednesday's Mold trail ride, like the aching has let me forget, not!
Mouse posted some pictures that gets the message across.
The 13th is coming and as posted I am setting off from Llangollen to try and get to Vyrnwy and Llanfyllin areas, where the lanes are wet and muddy this time of year.
Hopefully a decent number of guys are interested already, and with any luck somebody will have another camera to catch the moments, hint-hint!
If you are able to come for a good days worth of lanes, please post it up on this thread and I can gauge the numbers (please put what bike your bringing, it helps the route planning).
Regards.
Timpo.

Sorry Timpo - I'm gonna have to pull out :( I'd hoped to come up the night before but it looks like I have to work in London till late. I don't think I'd be much use if I end up doing 150+ miles on the Sat morning before we even start

Have a good one.

Mav

Another apology from me :(

Clare and I can't make it, we've got to go pick up our new land rover on Saturday. Sorry, that was the only day practical to collect it.

Mouse no-show

Mouse,

Why don't you join Tim, myself and a bunch of other HP2'ers on the Sunday run near Aberystwyth?

10 am start near Pont-Erwyd on the A44.

Give Marianne a call at "Trail Rides Wales".

Cheers. Rick

ps. don't forget the snorkel if you can dig it out - will prob need it for the Red Kite at Easter!
