Well what a day.. a very big "thankyou" to Timpo for taking us out on the trip and major thankyou for everyone for putting up with my slow progress and helping haul the GS upright on numerous occasions,, infact I lost count.

Was a top day, and hope everyone made it home ok, sorry for not saying good bye, at the start of that lane just outside ruthin, but that last fall on the decent had forced my hand guard against the banjo bolt on the front break resevoir and broken the seal. So no front breaking. The muffs were hidding the evidence till i got home and had a look.

Cannot wait to see the photos. And get a bike that weights 1/4 of the GS..lol..

Cheers to Timpo, Timolga, Tina, John, Septic, etc etc..(sorry crap memory.)

Whisky in the Rocks.

Ok Rocks, glad you made it home safe, and also made repair to your machine. Hope you poured yourself a scotch when home?
I enjoyed today, and it makes a change to lead a run of, shall we say 'mixed ability', I got to see more scenary and I'm not too tired now. So, no worries about an delays caused, as I'd not expected to have a high mileage day.
What we did was good and I reckon we all benefitted from it.
I'm sure Tim will be along shortly to post some pics.
All the best anyway and well done for getting as far as you did.
See you next time on your pogo!:thumb
Timpo.

Hi guys thanks for a great day the bike is still
covered in welsh mud:D and bloody hell do i ache off roadind
deffinatly exercises the parts that other sports dosnt reach.

Bring on the pain ha ha haaaaaa

Long soak..

Timpo.. sadly not. I got home, washed the worst of the mud off, found the leak, tightened the banjo bolt and put the bike away and had a long hot soak.

As for mixed levels..ohhh yes. I am very pleased with myself for getting as far as I did, but also questioning my sanity.

Was good fun to watch how experienced riders did it too and I certainly found out "how not to do it" on several occasions.:D Was still one hell of a lot of fun. I will certainly try to join you guys again if I am able to find a more suitable bike. I love the GS, but!

My legs are still dead.. but what fun..:thumb2

Im getting a R1150gs the f650gsd is a good bike
but isn't what i need so its back to the boxers for me:D

i did have a laugh on it though i had it cranked right over on a rounder
bout on the way home:eek:

i've posted some photos but they are on the original thread in the offroad section.
