Trail Ride, Mold Ruthin and Denbigh area, Sunday 3rd February, 2008.

Hi Timpo,

I'd love to come, especially if there's a bit of snow about, but recent family commitments have put things on hold for the next week or two :(
Catch up with you soon,

Lynchy :D

Hi Timpo is there a safe place to leave car and trailor??

At Gas lane, the RV.
None of the tow cars or trailers, etc, have been touched before.
It's not like I'd start a trail ride from somewhere where items have been stolen before.
Lock your car, lock your trailer to it. Leave valuables at home or on your person, that's as much as you can do.

Will I be seeing you Sunday?

Timpo.

Is it the same place we met last time outside that nice friendly garage? I hope so!:monkeypiz

The details of the RV are on the first post.
I'm not sure of which other place you a referring but the Mold rides have gone from this RV for some time now. See you Sunday.

Timpo.

My commitments on Suday could be cancelled at short notice if the weather's bad, in which case I could meet at Ruthin cafe, what time do you estimate being there?

Right, obviously I have fecked up typing the first post, so I will just paste it as a quote below:-

Folks, I can lead a trail ride in this Sunday being 3rd Feb in the Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin area of North Wales.
The ride RV/startpoint will be at Gas Lane, Bromfield Ind Est, Mold, Flintshire, CH7 1UR.
The start time is 0900hrs.
The RV is here:-
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.s...=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

The route will consist of Byways and UCRs, some of which are very muddy so tyres need to be of AC10 standard.
The loop will take about 7-8 hours and cover approx 100 miles.
Breakfast at a cafe at 1030hrs in Ruthin.
The ride will cater for improvers and intermediate skilled riders (as I'm coming off nightshifts), and as usual, nobody gets left behind.

No racing numbers will be required as this is not an enduro.

If your interested, please reply to this thread and give your machine details. This will help me tailor the route to suit.:augie

Regards.
Timpo.

Please read it and tell me if I have missed detail............:(

If you spent as much time reading the real world threads, than you do spend dreaming up shite to post in the Pub or 1200 section, wouldn't have to repeat myself.....:thedummy

Oh, and I'm on nightshift..............:o

Have a good one and careful now theres a severe weather warning out - it may snow a bit and even (gasp) rain!!

Hi Folks.
I take it that the group starting at 0900hrs is:-

Timpo
Ashbabble
Knobby
Andy TRF +1
Tina
Buckles
Ferret (?)

Timolgra may join us at breakfast stop.

The weather looks like it's closing in now, snow falling on the Wirral at present.
Please do not be late, we will not be wanting to wait around in the cold.

Timpo.

Yes I will be there for 8.30am comin from Sunny Telford, I have a 04 plate crf 250x with a CRD exhaust on her, is this ok?
As this is my first green lane expedition, is there any tips or items i should bring with me, other than my bike and gear??

CRF250X will be perfect. Fill it with fuel before you arrive, there is no garage until after breakfast.
It's going to be cold and wet.......
Carry a drink pack and a couple of tools should you need them, especially spindle spanner if we need to change an inner tube.
If you only carry one inner tube, make sure it's a 21", this can be stuffed into an 18" tyre and inflated so you can finish the day's route.
I have some tyre levers.
I'll take my camera as well to record any, well let's say, interesting occurances........:green gri

Timpo.
