This will no doubt fall on deaf ears but here goes....

The 19th Oct (2 sundays time) is the TRF's AGM.

Practically everyone I know that green lanes moans about the way the TRF goes about it's buisness, with a seemingly holier than thou 1950's outlook on life, preaching rules and regulations and not actually living in the real world - you must look like this, you musn't ride like that etc - and most people seem to lose interest in the organisation quite swiftly.

Simon Bingham the PR + Comms rep is with consultation from some more forward thinking TRF members trying to fight for change and bring the TRF kicking and screaming if necessary into the 21st century.

This has never happened in the past because for change to happen people need to get off their arses and attend the AGM.

ONE day out of the year.

Yes, it's boring as hell (I'm guessing, never been it's my first year of membership) buit for ONE DAY, please, get along and show some support.

The only thing stopping the TRF being the organisation YOU want it to be is YOU.

Good 1

Nice post, probably what most of us think, don't like to criticize tho, as they are prepared to do the work, which is a bore, banging your head up against a brick wall, just out of interest when and where is the AGM, regards Dusan

Wot no room this weekend for one waffer thin laner? (only 20stone!) :D

Yeah you are welcome Sat if you can make it, I just meant there's nowt else advertised yet.

I am waiting on the duty roster for next month from work before planning anything else.

I see they're still arguing amongst themselves, then! Was on the main committee during the 80's and had some great times, but the constant paranoia was debilitating & I moved into the MCC trials as an alternative.

Shame, really. I like the ethos, but the 4x4 crews stuffed up the whole thing for us all. Thought they'd made it all illegal a few years ago - guess I'd got it wrong.

No, just made all the RUPPs that had not already been made into BOATs (as they shoudl have been by the councils decades ago:spitfire) into RBs (restricted byways - effectively a bridleway).
BOATs and UCRs are still legal, the ones that aren't subject to TRO anyhow.:blast
