Gaz has bought an engine off eBay from Texas, he's hoping to be on the road Friday or Saturday so fingers crossed he can get to us.
We've had a fairly tough day but with no incidents and arrived in Monticello, Utah and Moab tomorrow

Just spoke to Gaz
He's found what caused all his problems
Turned out to be aftermarket radiator fitted with too low pressure cap by supplier
That caused the coolant to slowly leak unnoticed combined with a faulty wire to the overheating light caused the bike to overheat unnoticed
Gaz has now had another engine fitted
Managed to scrounge another rad cap off LostThePlot
And with luck should be back on the road tomorrow on the bike
Instead of cruzing around New Mexico Impersonating a police officer in Chevy Impala
Bike being sorted ...For many thousands of dollars

Thanks chaps, should be back on the road in an hour or so, just have to dodge the wandering moose and elk in Colorado who come out at sunset. Knowing my luck ... ;-)

We've just had a tough 12 hour day in Utah, deep sand, rock steps you name it....everyone came off their bikes today at least once

Eagle Canyon strikes again eh! Bet you enjoyed the beers in Eureka. You might want to enjoy a rest day there before you carry on.
Not sure whether Gaz has given you the info we gave him so after Fort DcDermitt bear in mind there was no fuel in either Denio Junction ( awaiting new tanks) or Fort Bidwell (closed down years ago!) Enjoy guys ;-)

950 miles in less than 48 hours means I've got to the rendezvous (Eureka, Nevada) before the others. Tim's probably doing his hair some where en route.
Staggering scenery in Utah in punishing temperatures. I almost don't envy what the boys have been doing, my half road, half off road trip may be a blessing in disguise.
Will update later as I'm in the Best Western and they are staying in some shack across the street. This is a 2-horse town at best

In Eureka after another epic, a rest day would be good but not possible just yet so pressing on in the morning with a slightly later start.
It's old man Gaz's first day with us tomorrow and we've all got to riding fast now but we'll be gentle for a while.
