Transfer routes to basecamp from Zumo 395

Just updated my Zumo and checking preferences on device and Basecamp.
In the transfer tab there is the option to: Always match the route to the map on my device when transferring.
Can I ask if this should be checked?
I did Google it but got conflicting info.

There is no harm in matching the route to the map.
