Transparent vinyl covering for my 1200GSA panniers

I've just bought a new 1200GSA with the BMW panniers. I would like to protect the panniers with some see through vinyl (similar to the stuff that is sometimes used for tank pads). Obviously to cover the panniers will require quite a lot of vinyl so the normal kits work out to be really pricey. Has anyone got any ideas where I could get some big pieces of stick on vinyl at reasonable prices?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

for clear vinyl try a 'Wilkinsons' if you have them in your area... clear Fablon..

Do Fablon have a web site?

Maybe you can make it interesting, by adding some print into the mix.

On a more helpful note....There is a thread, with pic's, I think by MikeP, showing how to do it. It may have just the info you are looking for. But don't forget to ask an adult for help with the scissors....
