Travel insurance for Ireland based riders? - anything changed in the past two years?

Just wondered, as i've not done this in a couple of years;
Did a search / but came up with no results.

Has anything changed for better or worse in getting appropriate cover for 2 people on a Bike over 125c.c?
Or is it as ever; let them know what i'm riding and ASK?!

I'm guessing that's a no then.


I used "insure and go". Galway based offices so i phoned and spoke to a real person.
Basic "bronze" level cover - the premium was about €55.
Specifically adding 'Riding a motorcycle over 125 c.c.' more than doubled it.

Aw well. It's a waste of money anyway .... until you need it!
And then it's not.
