Anyone got any recommendations for travel insurance providers for a 68 year old (I know, gettin' on a bit) planning to tour thro' Europe on my 1150GS next year? For some reason everyone I phone seems to think I should be in a home!!

Try CIS or Post Office both cover you for bike Insurance over 125cc, I have used both in the last few years.

By the way...I've got travel insurance already.....allows me to fall off cliffs on skis or or drive a Maclaren F1 but anything over 125 cc seems to be dangerous.

don't know if there's an age limit with the post office but I just took out an annual multi trip policy for me and the missus-£72 for the two of us and no restriction on bike size for road use. (that's with 10% discount if you do it online )

just checked the age limit thing chris-for annual multi trip you must be under 65 but for single trip policy there's no age limit with post office

I bought an annual travel policy aimed at bikers from Carole Nash for around £70. This was the cheapest I could find which didn't exclude bikes over 125cc. WEBSITE front page seems to indicate it's the same up to age 75. Probably worth a call?
