it realy made great reading.it certainly makes you want to hop on the ferry and go.
being nosey what would be a ball park cost on the total trip. although you cannot put a cost on the fun/thrill facture.
and how did the scoot compare with the bikes as i have two u/s arms and may need to get one in the future.

Ebbo, Thanks for an excellent write up, and for taking the trouble to include so many important 'minor' details. I'm going there in June. I have a lot of experience of Europe (Germany, France, Benelux) but none of Spain. Can you give some idea of the difference in the road titles, I don't know what N, L etc means. Which are the good roads to ride?

I saw your comment about the Michelin Map green roads and have to say they've always served well on other trips, but if you could just elaborate a bit it would be a great help. Thanks again for the trouble you've taken, much appreciated.

I’m not an expert on Spain or the Pyrenees so can’t really help with very much more detail, I’ve just tried to cram in as much as I can while keeping it entertaining.

If you’re looking for a little adventure without going over the top, I can really recommend the Pyrenees. There aren’t many tourists or bikers for that matter (well when we were there anyway) Just deserted roads and sunshine. Get yourself a few Michelin Maps and use them as a guide to the better roads (the roads with a green boarder) and stay in the mountains.

As for cost, well, I’ve given the cost of the hotels, with shared rooms it’s not that much really, above that is the cost of ferry, fuel, an evening meal and a few beers. Total cost, I’d rather not work out
