Can anybody help? Best place to buy a BMW trickle charger at the best price and what is the approximate price?

Works for me optimate or the like connected direct to battery with lead supplied

Oh yeah.

Get an Optimate.

Spend 10 mins fitting the supplied cable to the battery, and then it's the work of a moment to plug the charger into the little socket every time you park your bike.

My BMW chap tells me that 2 years is an 'OK' time for a bttery to last, but if you plug in an Optimate every time you park it in the garage, the battery can last for much longer

Personally I wouldn't stray from the BMW unit, have had one for the last three years and it has been perfect, prior to that had a Datatool which fried the battery, you will pay more for the BMW unit. Not slagging Optimate BTW cause I know nothing about them but I like to go along the original equipment route and yes I do pay more but then I can!!!!!!!
