Took part in the first off-road skills course of the year this weekend, and they've got a fleet of eight new 12s. They're identical to the 04 I ride (now for sale if anyone's interested) except the engine sounds a bit pingier (though that might be because it's new), the clocks are slightly different with the more detailed fuel level, the sidestand is bent and - this is the biggest difference I noticed - the gearbox is lovely.
I imagine that there's loads of changes I didnt notice. On the downside, two of the eight bikes that started the day broke down. One was a starter motor making a horrendous noise, not sure what the other one was.
They also had several of the new X-challenge 650s. They are a tremendous step forward from the F650 but I happen to think the F650 is an absolute dog of bike. Great fun in the dirt, hopeless on the road of course. Very tall seat, I'm 6ft and almost toppled it a couple of times.
