I'm looking at an F650GS on an 09 plate and i want to know if it has a trip computer or not. On the left hand handlebar there is a button marked "INFO". It also has a large LCD screen that comes almost level with the top of the speedo. Does this tell anyone whether I'm looking at a bike with a trip computer or not????? I'm not anywhere near the bike so cant physically push its buttons and find out!! Apparently it also has ABS, and a vario screen on it. if anyone knows whether a vario screen is any good or not I would also be grateful for advice,as its probably gonna get used in preference to the car so will do about 20k a year... Oh and im about 5ft9" tall.

Answers on the back of a used £50 please. OR, shall I..................

Get my coat!!! (again)

The INFO button only comes with the On Board Computer option.

Without it you still get two trip counters, though these only count the distance travelled.

The OBC allows you to monitor average fuel consumption, range, engine temp, fuel level (in bars as opposed to just waiting for the idiot light to come on) and also shows what gear you're in. The range / fuel guage had a computer update done as they were not that accurate by all accounts. There may be a few other things but i think that is basically it...

Got a Wunderlich Vario lying about somewhere and i'm a similar height - wasn't for me noise-wise and wobbles a fair bit.

I'm a similar height, and I've got the BMW Touring Screen. Not exactly ideal, but much better than standard.
