hi guys and girlies,
i normally do a few trips away each year with a group i have ridden with for years.
i fancy a go-it-alone trip in september and was thinking of a week in ireland.
been looking at this regional page and some good stuff, what i was hoping was that you might beable to tell me of a few gems to visit while there i.e hidden coastal spots to wild camp or pubs that do good rooms at a good price and where i will be able to have a good time round the bar at night.
I was thinking of a few days doing the causeway coatal route then over to
galway for a few days. i have no set plan just end up wherever the day ends.
Any help or reccomended places would be great.
I even thought of asking locals for the name of two places then just flip a coin and thats where i will go. Surley i can see some great places in a week.
i will do a write up on my return:beer:

thanks

If you are going to do the Antrim coastal route, you have to include the Torr Head section, you join it at Cushendun and it takes you to Ballycastle. Myself and The Heff of this parish included it on an early morning run yesterday-was fantastic. Also other areas of Northern Ireland worth considering are the Mourne Mountains in Co Down, Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh and the Sperrin Mountains in Co Londonderry and Tyrone

BE WARNED ANYONEwho is over here the East Antrim coast and ANY of these "Biking Roads" are heavily policed by various taffic cars!

It would seem appear by young policepersons fresh out of the factory and determined to bring every "Motorcyclist" (Never mind the lawbreaking ones) to boot at any and every opportunity! There's a story or 2 here that doesn't need bringing to the fore here

While doing these good deeds of removing these filthy bikers from the picturesque roads they are serving the community and making a name for themselves!

Watch out for a VXR vauxhall it could a plod tool!

There are routes that run parallel and are even more pretty and MUCH less policed if you want them PM me

Don't get me wrong I am not anti police I just don't like being targetted when so many uninsured, not MOT'd, never mind the long term foreign imports etc etc etc

* Motorcyclist = In my book Any person who rides a 2 or 3 wheeled infernal combustion engined non enclosed conveyance

Even Harley Riders :hide
