This should be fun :D

New things on this bike, running in service anywhere between 350 to 650 miles.... and the manual ( yes i glimpsed thru it ) no oil change on first service, anyone had theirs yet.

Will me not having PCP make a difference :green gri

Well, I booked my bike in for its first service yesterday, and they said the labour is free, but I'll have to pay for the oil.:augie

Edit - just checked my manual, and the check box for change oil wasn't ticked. I'll phone tomorrow to double check.:thumb

save me doing it :) mines next week

Well think of it like this by 2050 we will only have to have an oil change every 50k lol I am looking forward to getting my tb lc gsa in 4 weeks

I have already had the first 600m service on my almost 2 weeks old 2017 T/B GS E4 bike and Marshall's of Grimsby definitely did change both my engine oil and transmission oil.

It's says BMW Running-in check, look at the service sheet and both oil and transmission oil are service lines.
My 2016 GS manual is identical.

You need an oil, filter and bevel gear oil change at 600 miles on a LC..

Im a dealer tech and that's what the RSD current software tells us.

Brake fluid changes so often are stupid. But it makes ££££££.

Mine was serviced yesterday, so now has the good stuff in. Riding back from the dealers, it's even smoother than during the running in miles. They've hit the nail on the head with this bike.:beerjug:

Bike was done yesterday but picked it up today, I could have waited yesterday but my mate needed picking up from home to get his new bike today, a red one..... Anyway they gave me a new k1600 for free to go pick him up, he's a good lad is Alistair, which is a 20k pile of sh*te, rode it from twickenham to Worthing to pick him up then to Alton. I was almost crying when I got there and my bike felt superb once back on it so it's a bit of a pointless comparison.

4 day trip to the Ardennes from Thursday so will be properly run it then :) feels the same to ride as my las GSA LC but just.... Better

Can't wait to get these noisy tyres off and get some trail attack 2 back on it.
