hi there i have a trophy gs. 660 powered off the can bus plug under tank. lately i have noticed the power staying live at the nav all the time.only dies if take it off mount. only thing i can say is it seems to happen more when i have been using nav in the house on its own battery.any ideas?
always notice it on when i go for fuel about 1 mile from house and it stays live all the time.

It`s probably holding the canbus open to charge it self.Try it fully charged and see if it still does it.

after a ride of say 15 mins it seems to switch off with the key. must keep it powered if battery is low.

when i charge nav for say half an hour in the house and then clip it unto bike mount, switch ignition on and off it dies after about a minute as normal. must be something to do with the battery being low on nav when used on its own battery. checked bike manual there and it says power sockets are switched off approximately 15 minutes after switching ignition off?

thats what i thought. i have just read that out of manual. all seems to be well now with nav switching off. is it possible for it to keep can bus open to get more charge into nav if battery very low or just co,incidence that its switching off now

Anything is possible, you can always check it by fully charging the sat nav before use on the bike and then again by letting it run flat.I dont think sat navs normally keep the canbus on(mine doesn`t).Some battery chargers can, BMW and Optimate4 are two of them.To be honest I wish the canbus would stay on longer,it`s a pain having to reboot the sat nav when you fill up with fuel.

all seems fine when nav has been charged fully from wall charger. switched off with key perfectly all day yesterday.
