Trouble at the bunkhouse ???

As most of you know, we have regular trail riding weekends in North Wales, using a super bunkhouse just outside Dolgellau.

Received a call from them, asking about my bulk booking for the 19th June. I haven't made one. They are clear that the booking was made in my name, by someone claiming to have stayed as part of my group in the past.

Not sure whether this is some sort of joke, or was malicious, but the losers, had they not contacted me, would have been the lovely biker friendly family who always make us welcome at their bunkhouse. They could very easily have turned away real customers (2 bunkhouse rooms - 10 beds, and 30 camping pitches were booked ) on that weekend and that's just bang out of order.

Spoke in depth with the owner yesterday - this is not her getting confused - the person she spoke to had definitely said that they'd stayed as part of our group previously. I can't believe that anyone I've ridden with would misrepresent a booking like this.

I would appreciate a private pm (to go no further) if this is some sort of joke gone wrong. Failing that, I can only conclude that this is some form of malicious attempt to sour a good relationship between trail riders and the bunkhouse family.

Any thoughts ?

Could be one of those pesky immigrants that stole my iphone and wrote a rubber cheque to pay their bill at the bunkhouse. I can't believe anyone from our group would do that; All cracking blokes, though come to think of it....maybe 'the brummy' was planning a big orgy at your expense ...Rushy has a habbit of scamming things at other people's expense too

No idea who this could be, I've not heard of any large trail riding activity in that area for this month.

Someone who knows yer name and knows yer go trailing from there

Have you upset someone recently ??? and when was it booked ??? these may give you a clue the people at the site may date the booking

Have a word with the people at the site and arrange a call back with the booking in future

I know yer shunt have too - but thats the world we are living with of late

At the end of the day it could be anyone ...thats the down side of these forums anyone could be reading the posts, could be some anti trail riding nutter trying to get us banned from the bunkhouse ...

Nothing I can do ...The sad thing is that the family who run the bunkhouse take people on there word - when you ring up to make a booking its all very laid back ...The only reason she called me was to double check the size of the booking lucky she did

as we are in that neck of the woods next week, it would be a good will gester to pop and have a chat with them..
i know lots of places that we can stay out, but this place is ideal for trial riders who like a safe place to stay
