Trouser length ..

What's your preference for bike trouser length?

Not bother?

Long?

Short?


Just asking because I bought a pair with the short length version which means it is just right for me. As I am used to really long bike trousers .. I am finding it odd as it rides up the leg when I am on the bike.

It doesn't go over a long boot but it will on an ankle boot like a pair of timberlands .. Will water just drip down into the boot in that case?

I'm 6' 6".
36 waist & 36 inside leg.
I don't own any textile troos as yet. Can't find anything that's long enough & affordable.
I still have to green lane in mi leather troos with gortex proofs over the top.

Short trousers? long trousers?medium trousers? Its a very subjective thing !!! My motorcycle pals have spent hours over several bottles of wine discussing this subject !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a pair made!

Save up and get a set of BKS leathers made to measure. Expensive but will last a lifetime and might even save your life!

It's pretty useful to make sure the knee armour fits, and that the legs aren't so flappy that they catch the brake/gearchange

Other than that, if it fits, fine.

My understanding is that you bought trousers slightly longer than you needed when you were standing up, which means that when you're sitting on the bike, the knee protectors are in the right place. If the knee protectors aren't on your knees when riding, then they're too short.

Good point

The knee part actually fit better on the shorter trouser whilst you kinda have to drag the knee protector up on the regular length.
