Just bought a new pair of trousers and went off for a quick trip to france only to find that they made me really sweat it was so bad i could hardy get my feet off the pegs to put my feet on the ground. when I got home the lower part of me was soaked though and i had to crowe bar the things off. (Not pleasant):(

So i'm looking to buy a new summer bike trousers and don't know where to start, price wise up to £150 and something that lets your nuts/arse breath :D

Hornee Jeans?

You will need to wear those knee-armour socks inside them (I'd suggest) - but they are great for the warm weather, and can be worn off the bike too.

Al :)

Have you tried wearing a wicking layer underneath....Dry Inside by knox is good stuff stays cool in summer warm in winter. I wear a set every time I ride.

HG AIRSTREAM

I use these when its hot, just pack an all in one rainsuit in case it rains as it leaks like a tea bag in the wet but nice and cool and light in heat.:D

just bought some sartso kevlar cargo trousers with some knee armour £150 from HG.
I had same problem with textiles and betty swollocks so lets see how these turn out :)

I can recommend the HG Air Suit (jacket and trousers).

I got a second hand set from a chap of this parish and they are great.

They're not at all waterproof but that not the point. Just take a rain suit.

Not sure how much they are new but if interested, keep a look out on here as they do appear for sale from time to time.

I love the BMW tourance trousers.
For me the Kevlar jeans / cargo's are not safe enough , except perhaps for a short run, since the armour is a kinda afterthought and I suspect it would move in a crash.

I can't be bothered to carry waterproofs - and lets face it in this country it rains every day !

So I wanted trousers that didn't make me look like a biker when in walking down the street, fitted well ( you can't tell you are wearing them when sat on the bike !) they are waterproof / breathable and have ( and this is the key) really well shaped built in armour.

Try them - expensive but worth it.
