At the last couple NEC bike shows, there was a stall that was selling motorcycle trousers with zips below the knees so that they can convert to 2/3 length. Do any of you fine chaps and chapess know of the firm. I tried a search but could only find Draggin and Hood.

Halvarsson used to have summer pants according to your description. They came complete with hip and knee protectors. Check their website if its still in production.

bmw strides

I have a pair of the BMW summer pants that zip down to shorts, im into beaches and walking / scrambling. If space is limited they are superb strides.
Just an opinion mind....

Hello,
I brought a couple of pairs of BMW summer-2 trousers for myself and mrs dxtans. They cost about £110 each. But an excellant buy if you ask me.
No more sweating when riding the bike, and when we do walk abouts , we just un-zip them into shorts, if it's a bit hot. Brill !

I have the Hein GEricke Summer ones.

They look great and are very easy to zip off they were a great idea for my recent trip to Morocco riding through the desert BUT:

the zip undone itself on two occasions after minor offs and the legs came down to the boots

They now give me no confidence in their ability to withstand any sort of crash therefore I will not be buying similar again.

Just my tuppence worth
