Truncated route?

New to GPS Got an eTrek Legend plus Memory Map, just plotted a route for greenlaning tomorrow, only about 50 miles, 140 odd waypoints. When I try to upload it to the GPS unit, it get 'truncated' at WP125. Is this normal? Thought the Legend could do 500 WP's. If I have to split it into two routes, is there an easy way to do it in Memory Map?

Quite normal.
Your GPS has a limited memory. Each route is only allowed to have 50 waypoints (if it's the same as my "Vista" i.e. 30 routes of 50 waypoints each).
You'll have to split the 140 waypoints route into 3 separate routes if you want to keep that many waypoints.

One tip for you. Put a turn waypoint 400m up the "new" road. That way, as you approach the turn the arrow will start to point in the direction that you have to turn.

Having had a bit of a fiddle, it appears my Legend will accept up to 125 WP's, just have to be a bit more economical with my route setting!
