Earlier this year I fitted a set of standard Touratech Aluminium Panniers and used their mounts to reposition the indicators backwards. I found that this made the tail end of the bike look horrible and hid part of the side view of the brake light which I didnt think was a good place.
So to cure this, I shortened my original indicator stems using the metal mule kit. During this I found that the indicator wire sheath for the right hand indicator was full of water, due to the use of the TT extender leads it was exposed to the weather..
So, if you have the same TT setup be warned.. I shook out the cables as best as I could, but now a little worried about corrosion. Guess I can only keep and eye on it.
Next mod will be a signal minder and vectra lights as per Fanum's setup.
