Fitted my TT panniers but didn't like the look of the TT indicators because iv'e got clear lenses on my bike :(

Took the original BMW ones apart and remounted them without the stalk and fed the cable through the drain hole in the bottom of the case / bezel / indicator unit :nenau

Anyone done this before or am i missing something obvious :o

Here you go , one side done :eyesdown

James - good idea, I would be a bit concerned about the wires hanging out though. Wooden Donkey do a very nice little stalk that works very well.

Cookie had a brilliant cap screw solution.... drilled out to take the cables with the right thread for the original nut

i remember he sold it in the FS&W section a while back

Cheers bonnie lad , i'll try that in the morning :aidan

PS.........Your to fast for me :roll

Don't let him kid you on James.....it's good stuff (well done Civil ;) ) but that bit on his web site's new......

Watch out for the old remus farts is all I'd add.....if you get yer indimacators in the hot air flow, they'll melt like mozarella ;)

Did think about doing that to mine, but as i'm an idel git :D thought it was easier to get a cheap set of short indicators fitted, can just see them in this photo

Thanks everyone :beerjug:

I'm going to take the TT indicators apart to see if their stalks are usable
If not i'll try my local fasteners then that Donkey place :nenau

Bill , i recieved an exhaust extension in the kit . It sits on the end of the exhaust ( badly ) and is bolted to the pannier frame at the rear :ymca
The hot gases leak around the exhaust / extension joint :(
Do you know if this is normal :nenau
Does it have to be fitted :nenau
Will the pannier become hot and contents melt if not :spitfire
Does it affect the exhaust flow / working :nenau
Should i just go to the pub coz it's cold and raining

Your Standard stalks are perfectly useable.
Cut them where the rubber/flexi bit ends , save the Hollow threaded
end and refit the Indcators. Its easy. If you have a local handy shop that sells hollow threaded tube to the same dimension as the one you have your elected . just take the nut with you when your goin shoppin !.
If you are using a Remus with a Y piece , you have to use the Extension
otherwise you will melt the indicator and there is a distinct possibility
the pannier and contents will get the Touch.{ I cant imagine anything worse than Burtons Singed kacks ,,,,, or !!! { imagination }
Its not the leaking gases that do the harm ,its that invisable flame
that burns all in front of it.

you only need to do the right hand side and then get ready for all the questions.....:D why is one of your indicators.........

Nippy norman does short stalks. They are not expensive.
I had a quick look but couldnt find them on his website, but Im positive it was nippys where I got them.
Saves a lot of hassle and looks original

Erm Newbie , about this bash plate :o

Have i got it the right way round :duno

If so , do i drill through the sump guard and attatch the 2 remaining bolts :bounce1

TIA ............ James :beerjug: ............... :eyesdown
