Have been offered some TT Zega cases fro my 1150GSA - however they have somr off a R100GS - will they fit my bike if I buy a standard TT pannier rack ??
Any suggestions greatley appreciated.

Only if

They are the assymetrical set.
No exhaust cut out. Yes.
Usually these would be supplied undrilled .
You would really need to offer them up first , then decide cos the
previous owner probably did the Drillin to suit his needs at the time.
to close: to be sure you would need to know exactly where the Holes are
drilled on the R100 Boxs.

They are indeed the asymmetrical set - no cut out for exhaust. Not sure about the holes though - although I'll get the camera out this evening and take some measurements... :thumb

Looking at the TT site the R100GS kit includes one 35 litre and one 41 litre box which is exactly the same as offered for the R1150GS. Also if they have been fitted to another bike the boxes will already have the fittings attached. There is a "special" kit with a left hand box with an exhaist cut out but you will know which ones you have. If they are the standard boxes there is no reason why they shouldn't fit on the 1150.

Boxes can be supplied by TT either with loose fittings or with them already attached. The latter is a small extra charge but saves the aggro. of drilling the boxes (I bought mine already drilled and fitted). I suppose there is a small possibility that they have been drilled in a "non-standard" place but it won't effect their ability to be fitted to a rack for the 1150 as the oval frame that the boxes fit on is standard. Costa about £160 for a frame set.

Why not give Nick Plumb a ring at Touratech. I am sure he would be able to give you a definitive answer. Best to buy from Touratech on the phone rather than the web anyway as you can check stock and avoid waiting months for something they don't have.

thanks guys - all very useful stuff - however even if they do fit, second hand cases £350 plus frames £160 = £510 !!!
may as well buy new !!!
thanks for all yor advice though !
