Have the offer of a cheap secondhand TTR2 from a bloke at work that has had it a while and never used it on his HD, but has used it in the car.

I want a cheap replacement for my Quest and this might fit the bill. I have no experience of TT hardware.

Is the R2 worth buying?

How easy is it to update maps etc? I use Tyre to plan my trips and then currently open a GPX file in Mapsource for the Quest. From what I gather it has only UK/Ireland maps installed.

The bloke is selling the lot inc car kit and bike mounts. Price to be negotiated! I already have a Scala Teamset we use for Mrs Moto to back seat ride and that I use with the Quest and a Scala bluetooth sender.

Any advice gratefully received.

I have never had any issues with my TT2 and would recommend them.
I also use TYRE.
go for it if the price is right for you.

TT2

I still using TTR1 and it is v.easy to use, again plan routes using TYRE. Wife uses TTR2 with no problems. If its a good price buy it.

Cheers lads. Bugger has sold it to his brother for £75, and so I'll have to look for another one, but the Quest works so I guess I'll not bother for a while.
