Has anyone got these? I've looked on their site but can't see deter info re the locking mechanism. Their feature is that the panniers can be removed without opening them, which is something I like. I'm would like to know exactly how they attach / detach and what it the simulataneous locking system they are talking about?

I don't yet have a GS, and the person I know who has, has the BMW OEM alloy luggage that came with his 2012 GSA, so was just hoping that someone here would be able to help me out with description and possibly pics.

Many thanks.

Apologies for the typos... it was written in my phone - fingers and thumbs!

I've got the standard Zega pro's on my WC.
They look good and work very well and to me it's no big problem to open the lid to remove them.

Having said that I only use them when I need to i.e. trips away etc and I don't remove the pannier when I stop only the liners.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of liners! Yes, pretty obvious when I think about it but at this time I'm not yet a GS owner so it's easy for me to overlook obvious things that are particular to a certain type of motorcycling.

The alloy OEM:s (for hex-head at least) can also be removed with the lids closed.
If that was the feature you were looking for.

I've got Zega Pro 'Limited Editions' on my 1200GSA with the original handwheel mounting system which is secure enough but you need to empty the box to get it off the bike........My topbox is a Rapidtrap Zega Pro and it's fine but to be honest it's never off the bike!

Yes, this is the feature I'm looking for, although I'm actually going to wait till the new GSA is out before making a decision and am also curious as to how the panniers will be mounted to the new Adventure, and what they'll look like.

Interested in this 3D....

Now that few months have passed ......and more of you have bought them....:D

2 questions :

What do you guys think of the new Zega Pro 2 ?

......and....are they a big step forward compared to the Pro, or not really that big of a deal ?

Thanks
