Hi
I bought a set of TT Zega panniers for my 1150GSA and after fitting the frames and mounting the panniers the right hand side indicator is been fowled by the pannier, it looks like the stem of the indicator needs shortend by about 2inches !
Anyone come accross this problem before ?
And more importantly can enyone give advice to resolve the problem ?

TT indicators

You should have had a pair of smaller indicators provided with the panniers,
if not thats what is required and they do work very efficiently.

Im not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, but Ive got some CaJa Sahel boxes on my 1150 GSA, and bought some reduced length rear indicator stalks from the 'Metal Mule' people. Straight foreward job to replace them .Might be worth a call. Good luck :thumb2

How come that only your right hand indicator needs shortening? :nenau When mine were fitted, neither indicator would fit. I bought a pair of short indicators from Hein Gerricke at a cost of approx £15 IIRC.

It only fowles the right hand one becouse the left hand one sits out more to allow for the exaust pipe.

My Zegas came with two tin brackets designed to move the indicators back and clear the panniers, to date I have only fitted one of them.

You may well have the Sondersystem with the exhaust cut-out on the exhaust side which sits in closer to the bike, whereas the 'standard' system has a 36 litre pannier offset on the exhaust side requiring only one shortened indicator stem.

The parts arrived yesterday morning , i had them fitted in 20mins , A big hand to metalmule for a prompt service and an big hand to all the guys who pointed me in the right direction.:bow

+1 for Metal Mule and -1 for TT, then

Cheers Noddy for the parts, you're da man:thumb

I think my Zegas might have come with extensions for the indicators, brackets and wiring too, but as I am a lazy fat bastard I let Steptoe fit it all for me at service time...

Wedge out the tenner for the Metal Mule kit, it's worth it, looks better and is a lot less Heath Robinson than the TT brackets.................
