I have a Tuareg 660 that I love apart from one thing, the seat. It’s fine for an hour or so but then quickly becomes very uncomfortable to the point I’m considering selling the bike.
I’ve read mixed reviews on their comfort seat option and some good reviews on the cool cover option. Has anyone on here had any experience of either please?

Not on that bike but I do have a cool cover on my Tiger RP. I was getting numb bum after 200-250 miles, not bad but a bit uncomfortable. 350 miles was starting to get pretty bad so a stop was required. The longer 550-600 mile days were very uncomfortable. After fitting the cool cover I’m fine on medium days of around 300-400 miles was starting days and only getting a little numb bum on the longer days. I would buy it again.
It is also very good at keeping one dry when it’s raining as it lifts my backside off the seat by around 8mm. This means I’m not sat in a puddle.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
That’s good to hear, as it’s by far the cheapest option to try too.
Funnily enough the bike I’ve been looking at if I do decide to part ways with the Tuareg is the same bike as you have!
Went to my local Triumph dealer just yesterday for a good look at them. Very impressed, although I’ve not ridden one yet.
I’m planning on test riding 22 model they have there and then the new tweaked 24/25 model to see if I notice the differences.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

I have a Tuareg and I added a coolcovers cover as soon as they were available.

I can ride it for several hours now without issues.

Don’t bother with the comfort seat as it isn’t much better than stock.

BTW - also check your bars in the clamps as I found rotating them forward a bit also helps (possibly leaning imperceptibly forward takes some of the weight off your backside?)

Lastly, do NOT be tempted by cheaper looking covers on eBay etc - get the real deal directly from coolcovers uk website - the copies are crap and do not work.

Thanks for you’re advice, I have seen numerous cheaper copies of the cool covers and was tempted but I’ll try the original ones based on your advice.

Yea, the comfort seat doesn’t get the best reviews out there and is not a cheap option to try either.
I’ll get some cool covers and if not 100% successful I’ll then try your bar tip too.

Thanks for your help.

I've got one on my Guzzi V85tt and my RE 650 Interceptor, for me they work well, especially on the Interceptor as I found the seat very uncomfortable after an hour. I've also had the covers fitted to a Honda CB500X and a T120 Bonneville. For me they have worked exactly as it says on the tin and was money well spent.
