I have a set of 323's on my 1150GS with the standard hand guards also in place. I drilled the hand guards and fitted lugs to locate in the bar end hole of the muffs. This keeps them in place extremely well.

I've also just fitted a pair of 319's to my S10 and find that they tend to fall forward and interfere with access to the switches which is an annoyance. The 323's are deeper as well and I wish now that I'd got 323's for the S10 as well.

They take some getting used to but I wouldn't be without them. Perforated summer gloves in sub-zero temperatures courtesy of heated grips and muffs. A winner!

My order of the Buckpads from Mototrim arrived this morning. Prompt service indeed.

I didn't want anything quite as cumbersome as the Tucano, hence my reason for choosing these. See how I get on with them.

First impressions are that they are very well put together.

Can I just say...

Vals service is spot on.

I ordered a set of Tucano muffs on Thursday and they arrived with the Saturday post.

If you are in the market for a pair, they look well made, very reasonably priced and are very quickly delivered.

To cap it all, they also come with a very attractive Zebra style bag to keep them in when not on the bike.:D

Many thanks Val :thumb

Best regards

I used to have Tucano muffs from Val on my 07 gsa, fitted nicely over the hand guards. On my current 09 it seems to have higher hand guards and the aux light switch is on the left cluster instead of in the centre. Do these muffs fit the later bike? I guess popping of the top section of hand guard would help leaving the thin black bit to stop the brake/clutch lever being pushed in by the wind, just not to sure about fitting round the aux switch.

I have them on mine 11 plate gsa as you say you need to remove the top part of the hangaurd they fit over the switches ok but they are a bit on the snug side but ok once they settle in.Had them on the last 2 winters with no issues.

Buckpads

Made the mistake of leaving my "buckpad" handlebars muffs in the panniers a couple of years ago when I traded in my old GS, now that I have just purchased another GS thought I'll get some new ones ..... but cant find hem anywhere, any ideas where I can get some .... don't like full tucano type muffs the buck pad type work far better for me..... help please, tried fleabay, google to no avail....

i dont think they do them anymore, mine must be worth a fortune i reckon:augie

Another vote for Tucano muffs. The real advantage is the "fur" lining and cuffs. This stops the air tubulance inside, and the cuffs sort of seal the area off once your hands are in.

If you want real uber comfort - fit the Gaucho too! I did Caerphilly and back in a day at 3 deg C on a damp shite day. It was like being under a duvet! Hands toasty with the heated grips on too. Fantastic.

I fit the muffs with the standard hand guards in place BTW. I use cable ties around the mirror stems and handlebars to make them as air tight as possible, makes a real difference to how warm you will keep.

Anyone here got a pair on a 1200GS? Nippy Norm gives the muffs as model 319 whilst Tucano themselves say model 323. But I cant order direct from Tucano so I want to be sure that NN is right.

So was there an answer to which model was the correct one for a GSA?

Dunno. I went out to the garage specifically to look...no model number...there were cleaning instructions though

I keep looking at these as my hands are always cold this time of year. I wear glasses so spend quite a bit of time faffing with my visor to keep air flow when slowing down and warm when moving. How easy is it to slip your hand in and out of these things? They always look a little tight to me

Just a case of getting used to them...like for clips on bike pedals, or unique BMW indicator switch arrangement..

You will need to know where buttons are by feel though...you should anyway. Including the horn etc.
