Where abouts fid you fit it? I have an X Country and a couple of pics showing the installation would be great if you wouldn't mind (PM is fine if you didn't want to put it on this thread) Cheers John B
Can do John B
but can you wait a bit as I am waiting for postie today to bring me a longer bracket to see if I can improve on the current set up.
Pic on post #40 gives an idea
Curently fitted to just below the fuel tank filler cap - You need remember that it recommended that the reservoir be mounted at least 30cm from where the nozzle sits.
and that the reservoir needs be vertical or as near as- the 'bulge' of the fuel tank makes it fiddly but it works
Hi Pete, got the Himalayan today, its in the garage now, added my 1936 Herson Fearson tractor horn (sounds old and lovely, picked it up at a car boot sale in France years ago for 1 euro) and just familiarised myself with the bike really. I am interested in getting a chain lube system for it and like the look of this one. Do you use scottoil in yours?

Use chip oil if you want Smudge! I did have some Scotoil but mainly used 20-50 I had left over. It's purpose is mainly to keep the outside of the chain lubricated, clean and supple (with the odd wipe of a rag to clear any muck and excess oil).
I usually held the button down for 10 seconds or so at some point during a ride. It worked fine.
My apologies, I meant to follow-up on this a while ago.
Fitting the oiler is simplicity itself:
I have only used the bike once (on an all day ride) since fitting and can confirm that it works. I maybe need to play around with the flow rate a little but that’s for another day.
You do need to be careful when topping up the reservoir and not going higher than the bottom of the metal ‘float’. This can be difficult to see, so the first time I did overfill it a bit. A syringe comes in hands to suck the surplus oil out.
For now, I have put a cable tie around the reservoir, just to mark the upper level. I’ll tidy this up, maybe with a cut mark in the alloy sleeve or a painted line.
