After resisting it for a while I'm resigned to trying a imperial storm trooper outfit on becuase too many people speak highly of them.

Can anyone help me get my head around the sizing.

Does this http://www.calmoto.com/downloads/shop/bmw_size_chart.pdf stack up for the sizes they use in the UK. Wanting to phone and make sure a dealer has some in stock before I wander over.

The size chart looks ok to me. Tried a couple of mesurements and they tally with what is said in the chart and the sizes in my Hein Gericke suit. just follow there instructions and you should be ok. Or you can go to your dealer and ask them to measure you.

That is spot-on sockpuppet and complies with alternative BMW sizing charts. However and just a cautious word of warning. :rob

There are as many negative views concerning Twat suits as there are positives. Remember, you are going to be spending £700 or so of hard-earned dosh and there are cheaper ways of getting just as good (or better) protection and looks.

But I will concede that the image is seductive and many on this forum have succumbed. :augie

I agree. I'm also looking at offerings by Rev It etc. The cayenne is very nice I've just learnt not to trust anything other than gore-tex. If I could find a non BM offering that used 100% bone a fide gore tex I'd be onto a winner.

My best advice, go into the BMW dealer and try it on! You may need to buy Jacket and trousers at different sizes. I'm 5'9" tall (32" inside leg) and average build, Both Jkt & Trs are size 52. The pants are a bit snug with the liners in though. What I'm saying is, you don't have to buy them as a matching pair, you can buy seperate to suit your needs.

Plus trying them on in the shop lets you see how cool you look before you part with your cash. This August I will be looking a right twat all over England, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Ibiza and France, AND I DON'T CARE!! w00t!

Troy.

Edit: Ask for discout at the dealer, you will probably get it! I got 15% off

Yeah, the size was just to make sure they had one before I rocked over. I'm a sort it out in one day not go round the houses sort of guy. What ever I'll wait till winter to buy....not paying summer prices.

I have the rev'it off-track and dakar pants, and it's not very good tbh. i do around 15k a year, whatever the weather, and i'm so tired of having a wet crotch. it's also looking a bit tatty now. the aftersales at bykebitz is superb, and they replaced the liners for me a couple of times, but as you say, if it's not gore, it's likely not very water-proof. Consequently, I'm lining up to buy a twat-suit imminently too.
