Yes, if you can stand the tedium and have the time, holding the bike at 3000-3500 rpm (50-60mph) will return a healthy mid 60s mpg. There's something quite refreshing sticking in a mere 18L after 215miles.

In comparison, the pre-twin cam would return mid-50s mpg at 50mph IME (x1), which is slow enough to kill you, mentally.

215*4.54609/18 = 54.3 mpg

Still it's better than the 36.1 mpg mine is returning at the moment
