Has anyone de-catted or fitted aftermarket headers on a twin-cam 1200 ? Do they make a noticable difference to performance and do they make the exhaust louder or hotter ? What about all that farting and popping (backfiring) - hopefully not

Would be very interested to see any dyno results from this change - ideally before and after - seems to make a worthwhile different on the old 1200 and previous models but what about on a TC :nenau

Cheers, Mike :beerjug:

Decat

Hi Mike just about to do mine did it on my old 08 cant see why it wont improve the twin cam as well keep you posted

Removed the Cat on pretty much all of my GS's including my last 08 GSA to improve the low down torque.

Must admit though to not feeling the "need" on my latest twin cam GS with the torque being so good already.

There again having lost some weight going from a GSA to the sportier GS not comparing like for like :thumb

Thanks just thought the results might be different on a TC due to that exhaust flap thingie :aidan
