Here and there, now and then.
What is the idea behind the twin spark engines brought out about a year ago? Is this variant more powerful? Reliable?

Hi Fatal,

It was a Enviromental thing to beat the Euro laws if I have read this forum correctly.

I have driven both single and twin (currently) and there is little to no difference apart from emissions.

Now add a Y-Piece, K&N, Remus and chip it and then you will "slightly" different performance with lots of extra noise.

And as it is supposed to ignite the fuel more evenly and quicker, it was supposed to cure the surging that the single spark motor was renowned for.

It did.

:)

....although BMW never admitted it because, after all, they never acknowledged there was such a thing as surging. ;)
