Hi

Can anyone let me know how the turn the twist grip body a few degrees. I have decided to try running my bars twisted up a few degrees, but I need to move the brake lever around as well and it fouls the throttle cable.
I found 1 screw on the twist grip body cant see any more, does anyone know if its pinned into the bars or can you move it?

Thanks for the help

I have had my left grip off to fit a mount for my PTT for my radio. If you remove the back cover of the LH switchgear (I presume the right is the same) you will see that the grip is anchored into the back of the switchgear as well as into the handlebar. If you slacken offthe switchgear securing screws, I suspect that it will all rotate as you want. However, as you hav ediscovered, the 2 screws attaching the grip screw into the handlebar and so I think you would have to drill new holes and tap them to get the grip to rotate as you want. Might be worth asking a dealer if there is a solution.

As far as I can remember, the throttle is not screwed into position, but clamped from inside the switchgear housing. If you undo the screws holding the housing together and gently prise the two halves apart, it will reveal a metal band clamp inside which holds the whole lot to the bars. Watch out for where the wires go inside though, as you don't want to trap them when you put it all back together.
