Apparently tomorrow's Monkey Spanker Weekly (MCN), will tell us about two new BMW's.

Will this be the R1200GS 'Adventure' some of you have been waiting for?

Personally I hope one of them is a carbon fibre hossack suspended 3.0 litre cruiser, but I'm a bit sick like that :D

Maybe they'll just take the bodywork off the GS so it looks hidously ugly and call it a 'new' model? Oh no, they already did that with the K1200S/R - snigger!

So is it me, or does the RT in that colour, from that angle look very similiar to a Yamaha GTS1000?

That had a funny front end too, a Tesi stylie trailing arm thingamy. I rode it arktooly, and do you know it weren't half bad, with exup FZR engine et all. Cost Beemer money though, so it was bound to fail!

So is it me, or does the RS in that colour, from that angle look like it's had it's entire back end grafted on from an SV650?

I didn't like the proto shots of the RT, but I see they've tidied it up a bit (amazing what removing some gaffa tape can do!) and I could live with that aethetically for sure.

Not a fan of the RS though, not as pretty as the old R1100S, especially in black or boxer-cup livery. It's like they got a design commitee to design the bike, without actually talking to each other and just concentrated on messing about with their own little bit of the bike.

Whats going on in the headlight dept on the new Rt / photo's are a bit confusing or is it the wine.

Please not in the motorcycle news comic this week the main thing is the weight saving on the new Beemers............................Obviously BMW realize that those great big lardy things need to get a whole lot lighter, they are seriously trying to change the image..........exxaserperated by the LOng Way round and the need to go everywhere witha mobile crane..............:D
 
Boundless saw or thought he saw a West Midlands Police marked RT heading west out of town today with ever so slightly attention grabbing 1200 shaped rocker covers showing.

Maybe it was a 1200GS that somebody has folded a fairing onto for "fun".

They wouldn't be letting raw 1200 RT's out for police tests yet....would they?
