Tyneside/Northumberland 1150 GSA seating...

Hi,
Are there any 1150GSA riders nearby who have a STOCK SEAT who'd let me fit it onto mine for a few minutes to see if it solves my problem?
My second-hand bike only has the low seat; which results in me getting cramp, as I have to bend my left leg too much. But I don't want to shell out on a new seat unless I know my feet WILL touch the ground safely!!!

I've had an inch or so cut out of mine so I can't help you there, if no one can help there is always saddlecraft seating in South Shields (0191 4556262) who could build yours up for you.
There's also lower pegs available to give you even more legroom.

Lower pegs - why didn't I think of that?
Thanks for the idea. Is it easy to adjust the brake & gear levers to match, do you know?

If you go for the Wunderlich lowering kit, it includes longer threaded rods to adjust the levers downwards to suit. No problem for me with my size 12 MX boots.

The pegs do touch down sooner than stock, obviously, but given the higher ride height of the GSA over the GS I don't find it a problem.

You'd be welcome to try my bike for size with the standard seat and footpeg mods. but we're a shade too far apart. If you're going to be down near Sheffield at all, drop me a pm.

Well, then...
thanks to Rev Chuck for lending me his standard seat - used it for 45 miles today, but it does feel weird! Juuuust not too high for me to reach the ground, but a really strange bouncy feel to it.
So I think I'll get used to doing some stretching exercise with my left leg (the right one never gets cramp on the bike...).
And I might dream of a Wunderlich re-upholstering option if I win the lottery, and will look out for an affordably-second-hand peg-lowering kit.
