Can you name the different types of screen for a std 1150 gs?
MRA 2 piece screen
Std gs screen with tobys
gs adventure screen wiv tobys
Calsci
Std gs with naca ducts,
there's also a barn door size american thing.
any more, im gradually working thru them one at a time, will little success.

anyone tried the cee baileys?
was the aeroflow worth the cash?
The trouble with the screens is they seem to vary from person to person, and its not one size fits all.

I have an Airoflow on my 11GS. Top screen and £100 2nd hand. If you see one snap their hand off as they are well built and well worth the money. I am 6'6" so the standard screen was a waste o time. Better for shoulders and good for 500+ miles in a day.

Neck is a bit iffy so good screen is a must.

That's the only way i can get clean airflow. it hits me in the neck and I tend to sit more upright.

I've got an MRA air flow screen if you wanted to borrow it to test. Also got a standard BM if you have not got one already.

ERMAX. Gives an extra 4 inches and as everyone knows, that can make a huge difference.

I had an 1150 a few years ago and found the best answer was a ermax screen, about 10cm taller than std. I then cut he flip off the top which took it down abput 50mm. I then took a dremil to the mounting holes and adjusted them so the screen laid down flatter. This is the exact reverse of what the Aeroflow screen will do for you.

But the end result was a screen that kept the wind off my chest, but didn't disturd the airflow creating turbulance around the helmet and therefore wind noise. Got a picsomewhere, I'll add it if I can find it.

I also had an aeroflow screen on my RS a few years back, and did a similar thing with that. You need to get the helmet in clear undisturbed air, you'll find wind noise will then reduce dramtically. This is pretty much what the 'No Screen' guys are suggesting.

What are you trying to acheive?
due to a u/s right shoulder, i cannot stand any wind blast after trying most screens "the daddy" came up for sale here
the screen may be big, but boy does it do the job

I'm 6 foot 3 and have the big barn door otherwise known as the cee bailey. Yes its big but I can ride at 80 miles an hour with my visor completly up and no watery eyes... although I would always wear glasses as you don't want any bugs in your eyes. The bulk of the wind travels over my head and because the screen is so big there is no buffetting.. which I had a lot of with the standard screen. I would like to try an mra just because its smaller but for long touring I think I'd always put the bailey on.

Thanks Joe for the offer of the mra,thats the current screen i use.
any pics of the givi and the ermax and the types of cee baileys used.
Would anyone be willing to loan me a cee baileys to try, dont mind sending a few beer tokens in the post for your trouble.
