I now have all the tools for the job, I have removed the tyre I took my time and it's off with no damage to the rim, but whilst doing it I couldn't stop thinking there must be either an easier way to use the tools or a better way, am I doing it right. So is there any instructions on changing bike tyres?

Worn tyre changing rule No1. Let the air out first. ;)

Use a lubricant and push the opposite side to the levers into the central dip in the rim :thumb

Now, i'd be in a position to answer your question if i watched you changing the tyre - Did you use your teeth on the tyre levers. If so you've done it the hard way. Did you even use tyre levers ?

Were you wearing high heels when you tried to break the tyre beed, again, wrong way. . So many questions, so little information .

noel,,I am in Leicester nr fosse park, pop in with your tyre wheel etc and I will give you a master class??. post me ??
Or pop in to windy corner and ask the mechanics nicely to show you..

The process I usually employ.....

I note that you have accomplished steps 1 to 83 and have removed the tyre.

Fitting new tyre,

1.Place old tyre on ground and put rim on that.
2.Place new tyre on top of rim and lever bottom edge over.
3.Get bead in centre of rim and lever top edge over rim.
4.You now need a good blast of air to pop the tyre on to the outer edge of the wheel rim.
5.Inflate to correct pressure and begin ballancing against the heavy side with the valve.
6.Now start again because you got the spot in the wrong place and it would only be possible to ballance wheel with grocers shop weights.
7.repeat steps 1 to 5
8.Give up as your wheel looks like it has now been chewed by a Giant teething T.Rex.

Thats how I usually do my tyre swaps and I find it works fine for me... :thumb

Which is why it costs 10GBP per wheel to fit ya Tourances??!! :mmmm :mmmm :mmmm

Always best to practice with the enduro bike before undertaking such a project!! :thumb
