All my past bikes with tubed tyres I've changed myself. Tubeless changes I've never tried, and get the supplier to change for me.

How easy is it to seat a tubeless tyre (TKC80) on the HP2s rims with only a foot pump?

Try using a good coating of tyre soap (or washing up liquid) and a ratchet tie down strap around the circumferance of the tyre to push it out onto the rim, then use the pump.

I doubt you'll have much success with just the foot pump unless you get Casey on the job ;)

I've done it before with just a foot pump, but I think I was a bit lucky getting the initial seal for the tyre to bite properly. The ratchet stap is really the best way to do it.Failing that, get the tyre on,and go and use the local garages free airline. :thumb

I've always liked the sound of the "bodge" that involves spraying lighter fluid into the tyre and then lighting it to seat the tyre on the rim ...

Or, thinking laterally, you could put a tube in it :)

How about a bicycle tube

Blow it up, sit it in the bead to seal the gap.................now blow yer m/cycle tyre up and whip the bicycle tube out as it seats on the rim

That's how trials riders fit tyres to tubless rear wheels
