I have a 20 plate Rallye but the last owner obviously got the origional tyre changed at the local zoo and they have put a couple of scratches in the gold anodising.

Has anyone found a decent colour match to hide the damage as I cant be the only one.

The gold coating is anodised so matching it may be difficult, if just purchased might be worth going back to the seller if a garage ,

Some one did post a link a wille back to a company doing touch up pens in the colour your after.
Try doing a search. I have the link in my favourites but no clue how to copy & past ! I'll get the wife on it when she comes in hopefully she'll know how to do it.

What a man most appreciated - i have had the bike a few months and cant believe I never noticed the scratches on delivery - whats worse I think the tyres were fitted by a BMW dealer!!

Yes rossman 999 I have a xt v strom with gold wheels & not looking forward to new tyre time,
The place I've been using for year's have now closed so a double whamy as they always did a great job .

What i dont understand is how they scratched the top surface of the wheels and not the actual rim itself - i think they were using a crowbar!!

I know this is an old thread but if anyone’s doing a Search for gold wheel paint then this thread will show in their results. I’ve just bought the Drift Gold touch-up paint and it’s not suitable for the gold wheels on a 2019 GSA. It’s very similar to the light sandy-gold of the brake callipers rather than the bright yellowy-gold of the wheels.

If you search there was a thread about some cheap gold glitter nail varnish from China called “cosmic moon” that was a near perfect match, I got a bottle myself for my garage stock.

My postman must think I’m some kind of cross dressing homo.

That was me I believe.
It is a very close match but never actually got round to covering the wheel weights so can't judge longevity I'm afraid

And this is the reason why I prefer the black anodized rims

Sharpie don't make a pen in the correct shade of gold but they do make a black one :dabone

This was recommended a while back. Cheap and just touch up when needed.
